Henry’s Farm Tour & Festivities

DATE/TIME: Saturday, Oct. 10, from 12 noon until who knows! You are welcome to come and go any time throughout the afternoon. (To help plan your visit, see Tour Times and Meal Times below.)

LOCATION: Henry’s upper field at 1446 County Road 475 North, Eureka, IL

TOURS led by HENRY start at 1:00, 3:00, & 5:00pm (You may take a tour before or after you eat, and you may join tours in progress.)

Be sure to take Henry’s NAME-THAT-VEGETABLE QUIZ before your tour, since he provides answers at that time!

The Farm Tour, Apple-Cider Pressing, Vegetable Quiz, and other activities are free and open to the public, but please reserve your spot anyway so we know how many people to anticipate!

FABULOUS FARM-TO-TABLE MEAL

Chef Christopher Sullivan of Twilight Kitchen and chef Carlos Ysaguirre of Tuscan Hen (formerly of AntePrima and Tesori) are preparing amazing farm-to-table dishes on-site, featuring Henry's vegetables and meats from local farmers. They will continually replenish the buffet table (a hayrack!) with freshly prepared foods, including:

-Sourdough Breads, Butter, Pimento Cheese

-Assorted Quick Pickled Vegetables

-Assorted Green Salads with Lemon Vinaigrette

-Tomato Salads

-Spicy Cabbage Slaw

-Rigatoni Pasta with Roasted Heirloom and Plum Tomato Marinara

-Orecchiette with Kale Pesto

-Farro and Vegetable Pilaf

-Roasted Potatoes
-Grilled Veggies & Mushrooms

MEAT OPTIONS — Chef Carlos Ysaguirre

- Chianti Braised Beef Brisket with Rosemary and Black Pepper (Brisket from Nathan and Ashley Hodel, Panther Ridge Farms, El Paso, IL)

- Roasted Rabbit Piccata, white wine, brown butter, capers & marble potatoes(Rabbit from Bethany Salisbury, Saratoga Homestead Farm, Henry, IL)


- Good Ol’ Beef Meatballs in a house-made marinara featuring Henry’s tomatoes, with parmigiano (Ground Beef from Nathan and Ashley Hodel, Panther Ridge Farms, El Paso, IL)

DESSERT - Assorted Cookies made by Christopher Sullivan

Kids 11 and under are free!

MEAL TIMES: Choose one of these time-frames to go through the buffet line:

12:30 to 1:30

1:30 to 3

3 to 4:30

4:30 to 5:30

NOTE: The times above are only for getting your food -- you may eat it leisurely! And you are welcome to come to Henry's Farm much earlier and stay much later than your meal ticket time-frame! Just show your ticket and go through the buffet line at any point during your chosen time frame. It’s our way of ensuring that you won’t have to wait in a long line!

APPLE CIDER PRESSING and other fun farm activities all afternoon!

BONFIRE + MUSIC start at dusk, around 6:30.
